Waimate wallop Temuka

Club Day at  Manchester Park produced some great results.

Waimate Seniors moved into second spot alone to close the gap to one point after they walloped Temuka 48-12, running in seven tries.

In Waimate a tenacious Temuka held on for 60 minutes before the hosts over-ran them. Waimate coach Barry Matthews said the seven-try victory flattered.

Usual hooker Simon Bleeker impressed on the blindside while openside Mosese Aho also stood out.

“With 20 to go (Temuka) were on our line looking to score but we defended really well and managed to break out and score,” Matthews said.
