Harlequins battled their way back into form with a good 34-20 win over second placed Waimate at Manchester Park, to break into the top four after a sluggish start to the season.
Harlequins got their mojo back with a dominant forward performance, with two of their tries coming from drives off Waimate lineout throws, close to the line.
Waimate tried to speed up the game but Harlequins big boys up front proved too strong and hard to stop.
For Harlequins No8 Josateki Veikume was outstanding while blindside Tui Tauelangi impressed in his 55 minutes on the paddock.
Wing Jone Vuetaki also worked hard in an otherwise lack lustre back line.
For Waimate open side Aaron Clarke had an excellent game while prop Toko Fakatava stood strong.
