For Celtic Hamish Strachan had an excellent game at first five while front rower Garret Casey was strong as was lock Will Joines.
Hooker Graison Dale also impressed with his lineout throwing.
For Waimate wing Mosese Aho had a brilliant first half, setting up two of his sides first half tries before going off injured.
Prop Connor McCormack had a strong game and helped Waimate get parity in the scrums while loose forwards Tim Caird and Eafou Tagiaia were in everything.
