Waimate had a tough afternoon at Manchester Park keeping Mackenzie’s big guns under wraps.

Wing Iosefo Petro Sunibua bagged his third hat-trick of the season while his brother Setefano Sauqaqa ran with devastating effect at centre.

Prop Charlie Aho also had a very good game and chipped in with try as did lock Gus Lang.

First five Jared Trevathan directed play well for the Rams as Waimate struggled to get their hands on the ball.

For Waimate Miles Medlicott did stand out while in the forwards prop Red Taupo battled away and lock Cory Hollister also impressed.
